*Langer Research Associates* invites applications for the following
positions:



1) Research analyst. Clear writing and strong analytical skills are
required, with a premium on precision, clarity, acuity, insight and
storytelling ability. Training in questionnaire design, survey methodology
and data analysis are expected. Statistical modeling skills are a plus. Our
pace is fast, our projects are varied and our standards are uncompromising.
The ideal candidate will be a talented writer who can translate numbers
into stories, or a strong data analyst who can write better each time.
Social psychologists, political scientists, sociologists and recovering
journalists have succeeded in this position. An advanced degree helps but
relevant experience, skills, creativity, motivation and capacity for hard
work trump.



2) Research associate. A recent graduate with exceptional abilities will be
considered for this entry-level position. We expect a high level of
academic achievement; a combination of statistical training and writing
skills; high levels of accuracy, dedication and focus; strong interest in
survey research as a career path; independent, critical thinking; and a
commitment to learn the rest.



We’re a small, New York-based firm specializing in high-quality,
probability-based survey research design, management and analysis. We
produce the ongoing ABC News/Washington Post poll for ABC News, the weekly
Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index and in-depth custom research projects for
a variety of foundation, association, NGO and business clients, with a
focus on sectors including health care and international development. See
