>From Jennifer Ahern...

I am excited to be recruiting a Research Data Analyst to work on my
research project - a description of the project can be found here:
http://projectreporter.nih.gov/project_info_description.cfm?aid=8569995&icde=19274316&ddparam=&ddvalue=&ddsub=&cr=4&csb=default&cs=ASC

>From the job announcement:

"This position involves analyzing, and interpreting analyses of health
data, including selecting data samples from statewide health data for
California, and analyzing collected information with statistical methods
that include standard regression, propensity-score based methods, and
substitution estimation methods. This position also involves developing
simulations in the programming language R that operationalize a range of
research study design and analysis options, and assess the relative
performance (in terms of bias and variance) of the design and analysis
combinations. Simulations will be developed into an online simulation
system. This position will also involve preparation of analysis results for
publications, presentations, and proposals."

The full announcement can be found here - *applications should be submitted
directly to UC Berkeley via this site*:

I am looking for someone who will be a true collaborator on the science of
this research project - this collaboration will involve work with me as
well as with co-Investigators Mark van der Laan, an internationally
renowned innovator and leader in the field of causal inference, and Will
Dow, who has extensive experience and expertise in studying policy effects
on health. I also hope to find someone who is interested in getting
involved with continuing to build a research program moving forward.
Ideally I am looking for someone with a PhD, but I am open to someone with
a Masters if s/he has substantial relevant experience. Although I want to
hire ASAP, I am open to someone who will be finishing a degree this Spring
2014. The Bay Area is a wonderful place to live, and UC Berkeley provides
generous benefits. Please distribute this information to any high quality
candidates you think might be interested or any relevant list serves at
your institution.
