Assistant Professor of Sociology (New School for Social Research)


The Department of Sociology at the New School for Social Research and
Eugene Lang College invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant
Professor position to begin fall 2015.

We are looking for a scholar well versed in contemporary sociological
theory, American and European, with an international, comparative focus,
using qualitative research methods, preferably historical. We are
interested in particular in candidates working on religion, as well as
gender, race and ethnicity. Successful candidates will have outstanding
scholarly and teaching potential, and will be expected to teach
undergraduate as well as graduate courses.
