The Center for Nonprofits at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is
seeking a post-doctoral community researcher to join a collaborative
team of graduate students, faculty, staff, and community partners
engaged in action-oriented research and research-based outreach around
community-driven health promotion. This position will provide support
and research/evaluation capacity for community coalitions in the state
of Wisconsin that are working to promote active living through
increasing access to opportunities for physical activity, smoke-free
environments, and healthy food systems by increasing access to fresh
fruits and vegetables. Duties for the position include research,
evaluation, partnership development, outreach, technical assistance,
and mentorship. Expectations include collaborating on publications of
project findings in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at
conferences. The term of the position will be 1-3 years. To be
eligible, candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant
discipline (e.g., public health, community psychology, social work,
urban planning) during the last three years. We are particularly
interested in candidates with experience or expertise in community
capacity, health promotion, health equity, and mixed-methods research
design and analysis. For consideration, please send a current CV, a
brief letter describing interest in the position and relevant
background (1 page max), and contact information for three
professional references to Brian Christens <bchristens at wisc.edu> and
Paula Tran Inzeo <ptran at wisc.edu>. Applications will be reviewed as
they are received, for a desired start date in the very near future.

The Centers for Nonprofits is a campus wide center housed within the
School of Human Ecology that provides students, scholars, and
community practitioners a platform to collaborate on issues of
importance to civil society and the nonprofit sector. For additional
