This vacancy is for a FEW Social Science Analyst (Research) positions
in the Center for Survey Measurement (CSM), Associate Director for
Research and Methodology (ADRM) located at the U.S. Census Bureau
Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland.

A one-year probationary period may be required.

Relocation expenses may be paid.

This is a bargaining unit position.

This position may be filled through means other than the competitive process.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES:

The individual selected for this position will:

plan and execute empirical studies of web and automated survey
instruments and web sites using methods such as usability testing,
expert reviews, in-depth interviews, card sorting studies, or other
appropriate methods;
design and conduct human-computer interaction research
consult with sponsors to determine research needs and design and
execute the necessary research to meet customer needs;
review electronic data collection and dissemination tools for user
interface problems and recommend solutions to alleviate problems.
