Dear Chairs and Managers,

Please find attached important materials about the Creating
Connections Consortium (C3). A new program, C3 aims to increase
faculty diversity at liberal arts colleges and graduate student
diversity at Berkeley.

Dean Hesse requests your assistance in identifying potentially
interested and eligible graduate students and doctoral alumni in your
departments for a selective postdoctoral fellowship opportunity in
fields designated by the Mellon Foundation. Please find instructions
on gathering information from students for submission to Gloria Chun,
Diversity Director for the Social Sciences Division, by Wednesday,
July 31. Gloria Chun will follow up with you separately about students
in your department.
