European Social Survey Positions

Below is a brief summary of two new European Social Survey research posts at
the Centre for Comparative Social Surveys, City University London.

*Research Fellow - A Research Fellow is required to work on a variety of
tasks within the Centre. Tasks will include: producing high quality papers
and publications using ESS data; analysing data as part of general ESS
publications; helping to communicate the work of the Centre to a variety of
audiences; contributing to the smooth running of current and future rounds
of the ESS; helping to assemble forthcoming grant proposals and other
research tasks as appropriate.

*Research Assistant - A Research Assistant is required to work on a variety
of tasks within the Centre including: monitoring fieldwork in ESS countries,
contributing to the design and documentation of ESS questionnaire modules,
conducting substantive and methodological ESS data analysis, writing about
ESS data and methods, contributing to new ESS software solutions (with
technical support), updating the ESS website (with training) and answering
correspondence from ESS users.
