We invite applications for the post of Senior Research Associate to work with
Professor Emily Grundy and collaborators in the University of Cambridge and
elsewhere on a programme of research focussed on ageing and health in
contemporary populations.

The post holder will make a strong contribution to a project on Family life
courses and later life health in Europe which will involve analysis of a
range of large scale national and cross national longitudinal data sets.
Additionally the post holder will contribute to, and develop, other
collaborative projects related to life course and social influences on health
and mortality at older ages and analyses of pathways underlying these
associations.

The post holder will play an important part in the development of further
research and research collaborations on this theme in and beyond the
Department. Applicants should have a PhD in demography, epidemiology or
related quantitative social science; experience of managing and analysing
large scale longitudinal data sets using appropriate statistical software
(preferably STATA), proven ability to lead or contribute to peer reviewed
research publications, presentations and grant applications and demonstrated
potential as a research leader. Excellent communication and team working
skills are also required. Further particulars are available.
