The Center for Latino Policy Research is searching for a Research
Assistant to take the lead coordinating the quantitative data needs of
the Mission Promise Neighborhoods Department of Education grant.  The
candidate should have experience utilizing a variety of national and
local data sets, from cleaning and coding to multivariate analysis.
The candidate should also have experience developing and constructing
large-scale datasets that incorporate data from different sources. We
are looking for candidates who are familiar with database programs
such as Excel, VistaShare, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO), Salesforce,
Counselor Max, Access, and 7C2 and with GIS mapping software.  A large
portion of the candidate’s efforts will be spent meeting with the
partner organizations and developing strong collaborative
relationships among all the project participants.  Thus, we would
prefer candidates with demonstrated experience with community
organizations and an understanding of the challenges faced by
organizations serving low-income Latino populations.

Candidates must possess an advanced degree in education, sociology,
political science, education, demography, urban planning, or a related
field; a Ph.D. is preferred.
