We hope this email finds you well! We are pleased to pass along two more exciting opportunities for young scholars that we hope you will help us circulate widely. The first is a postdoctoral scholar position we have open for the coming 2012-13 academic year. Note, this is a separate postdoctoral position from the joint ASA/NSF postdoctoral position we circulated last week, though applicants may of course apply for either or both.

The second is a Request for Proposals for a new small grants program we are launching. This small grants program is intended for "new scholars" in the field of poverty and inequality - that is, recent Ph.D.'s in the field who wish to do some exciting work related to trends in one of the Research Group issue areas we are kicking off this year: (a) poverty, (b) income inequality, (c) social mobility, (d) educational access and achievement, (e) welfare program usage, and (f) the effects of the recent recession and possible recovery.

We hope that you will help us by passing these opportunities along to those who may be interested. Thanks so much for your help! All best,

Christopher Wimer
