The African Population & Health Research Center (APHRC) is an
international non-profit, nongovernmental organization committed to
conducting high quality and policy relevant research on population,
health, education, and development issues facing sub-Saharan Africa.

APHRC seeks to recruit an *Associate Research Scientist *to support two
of its programs on 1) the /Measurement, Learning and Evaluation (MLE) of
the Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (URHI) /being implemented in
urban areas of Kenya, Nigeria and Senegal; and 2) /Meeting the Unmet
Need for Family Planning and Improving Access to Safe Abortion Services,
/being implemented in Kenya, Ghana and Senegal. The first program is
using state-of-the-art methods to evaluate the impact of the URHI on
modern contraceptive use and examine other related questions. The second
program seeks to produce high-quality evidence to improve the health of
the poorest individuals –particularly women- and accelerate progress
towards poverty reduction and achievement of Millennium Development
Goals 4 & 5.
