applications for
a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning
September 2012. We are looking for candidates in the area of urban
sociology, preferably with secondary areas of specialization in
race &
ethnicity, inequality, immigration, and/or demography.  The
candidate
should also be prepared to teach core courses, including theory,
methods
and/or statistics, as well as introductory sociology. The
department
consists of 21 fulltime faculty, 370 undergraduate majors, and 80
sociology
graduate (MA) students. Located in the heart of Chicago, DePaul
University
is a private institution with over 25,000 students. Candidates are
expected
to have the PhD in Sociology completed at the time of employment,
as well
as teaching experience. Applications should include a cover letter
describing teaching and research interests, curriculum vitae, and
three
letters of reference. Supporting materials demonstrating teaching
and
scholarly achievement should accompany the application. Review of
