The Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado at Boulder invites
applications for a tenure-track position in Environmental Sociology. We anticipate
hiring at the assistant professor level, although applications at other levels will
be considered from those who would strengthen the Department's diversity. The
position requires a Ph.D. in Sociology (or closely related discipline), and
demonstrated competence in the area of Environmental Sociology.  Candidates who are
close to finishing their Ph.D.s are also encouraged to apply.  The successful
candidate is expected to meet multiple departmental needs, including teaching at the
graduate and undergraduate levels. Review of applications will begin on October 22,
2010. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.  The University of
