JOB OPENING AT LEHMAN COLLEGE

Assistant or Associate Professor - Demography
Institution: Lehman College

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in specialization and related areas and assist with the integration of data analysis and research in lower level sociology courses. Will be expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals; actively pursue research grants; and serve on department and college committees. There is possibility of affiliation with the City University of New York's Institute for Demographic Research.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Ph.D. in sociology, a strong publication record, well developed teaching and mentoring skills at the college level, and a record of securing research funding required. Research specialization in immigrant populations from Latin America and/or Asia preferred.
