Position: Quantitative Geographer



This position pays $5,000 per month to start.  Full time.  M.S.
required, Ph.D. preferred.



The selected candidate will collect, analyze and update geographic and
real estate data and statistics - schools, crime, demographics, and
more - for neighborhoods across America, and transform the data into
usable information products for home buyers and movers accessible over
the Internet at www.NeighborhoodScout.com .  If you are the type of
person who thrives in an intellectual yet highly-productive
environment, is a self-started that can work independently, loves
statistics, can perform GIS analysis, and is detail-oriented and very
organized, you are the right person for this position.



Required Experience and Skills:

Adept at managing data in Excel, Access (or other spreadsheets/databases)
Experience using VBA or other macro language
Experience using GIS
Proficient with multivariate statistics and math
Experience using census data, both spatial and non-spatial
Proficient with SPSS (including writing scripts within SPSS)
Proven ability to quickly research and find sometimes very esoteric
sources for data
Exceptional attention to detail, organized
Bachelor's Degree in related field (Masters or Ph.D. preferred)
Motivated to learn and use new skills and technologies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Emotionally mature, dependable

About Dr. Schiller



Dr. Andrew Schiller is the Founder, President and Chairman of

The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Money Magazine, Parade Magazine, Smart
