The State of Georgia, Governor's Office of Planning and Budget has contracted with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government of the University of Georgia to do the demographic forecasting for the state.  All state and local governments will use these projections for planning purposes.  The most immediate task will be to conduct population and employment forecasts to assist the State and the Georgia Environment Protection Division of the Department of Natural Resources in completing the work of the newly formed water planning councils.


  While the State has contracted with UGA for this work, the University will be funding the Director?s position as part of its Land Grant Mission.  I am attaching the official job announcement and would appreciate your help in making potential candidates aware of this opportunity.  Should either you
