Subject: Arizona State Demographer Position

Arizona is looking for a State Demographer to bring population statistics
to the forefront in the state.  The position will be responsible for the
advancement of methodology for both estimates and projections.  Working
hand ? in ? hand with the State Data Center the position will work with the
American Community Survey to determine the appropriate uses for the data.
There will be extensive work with the Census Bureau to build a more
cooperative relationship to ensure that estimates produced by both parties
are satisfactory.  The State Demographer is situated in the Arizona
Department of Commerce and will work with the Population Statistics Unit.
