Tuesday, October 6th: Jason Corburn <https://publichealth.berkeley.edu/people/jason-corburn/> - Urban Health Equity on a Planet of Cities
As a majority of the world’s population lives in cities, public health must more explicitly integrate processes of urbanization, city life and disparate population exposures into consideration. COVID-19 has further revealed the importance of space, place and racism for understanding urban health. This talk will offer some ideas for a 21st century global healthy cities action research, practice and pedagogy agenda. Examples from the Bay Area, Africa and Latin America will highlight the opportunities and challenges for an urban health equity agenda.
