student departmental happy hour tomorrow Friday, December 2nd from 5-8 pm in Barrows 420. As

down I'd guess.) Nothing too fancy. I
have a friend with a Costco card that I can probably
use.

Thank you for volunteering to be our new
social coordinators this year! The students will
benefit from mixing and being in community
together. Thank you, Santiago, for offering to
share ideas.
Our budget continues to be $750 for the
year. I know it doesn't sound like much but I've
heard that it has historically covered all
events. Please know that our department puts on a
big Holiday party every year that draws a
big group of faculty, students, and staff. This
year it is on Thursday, December 8th -
details TBA. I'd say you should try to plan a social by
mid-November since people are traveling for
the holidays or otherwise really busy after that.
Have a good time coming up with ideas and
confirming the first event. Again, I really
appreciate the three of you stepping up.
